The Blue Schools project

EU4Ocean
is a project funded by the European Commission and implemented by a consortium of 12 partners across Europe, which aims to bring together organisations, projects and individuals committed to promoting ocean literacy across Europe. The coalition is made up of three key components:

The EU4Ocean Platform: Serving as a nexus, this platform links organizations, initiatives, and individuals, fostering collaboration and mobilising collective efforts in the realm of ocean literacy.
The Youth4Ocean Forum: Tailored for young people aged 16-30, this forum provides a platform for members to conceive and implement projects addressing pressing ocean challenges.
The Network of European Blue Schools: A hub for all schools and teachers that strive to engage students with oceanic topics and educate a new generation of ocean literate young citizens.

Our Lesson Plan

The "Importance of Coral Reefs" learning scenario aims to educate 8-9-year-old students about the ecological significance of coral reefs, the threats they face, and conservation efforts required to protect them. Through interactive activities, group projects, and creative expression, students will explore coral reef biodiversity, understand human impact on reefs, and develop a sense of responsibility towards marine conservation. This scenario fosters critical thinking, collaboration, and environmental stewardship among young learners.

CLIMATE ACTION PROJECT

We participated in the global climate action project "The Future." After six weeks of work with our team, we earned a participation certificate.
